Corazón Rodríguez uses a vintage way of life and incorporates it in her artwork. Rodríguez makes her own frames with engravings to create unique carving designs that envelope her pieces of art-work, hand-made ornamental tiles, masks, fountains, sculptures, paintings, and much more.
Corazón's mother, Dr. Ivonne Govea ,who was a student of the remarkable Muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros, the Sculptor Octavio Ponzanelli, and friend of outstanding artists from various parts of the world, which visited her studio and worked in collaboration; they showed Corazón many of the techniques known today, by watching them work always by her mother's side; and accompanied her to almost all of her mother's expositions. As the result of this major artistic environment with renounced artists during all of Corazon's life, it has given her great security to realize her work of art, inspired by nature, cultures, her mother, and her two daughters; She believes that the used media is just a tool to create the overall masterpiece, she expands the variety of possible mix-media and techniques to create marvelous works of art, Corazón believes that passion and creativity is all that is needed to create an exquisite work of art, and that any form of art is a treasure needed to be known and explored. Since Mrs. Rodríguez learned every possible art technique by applying it in her art-work, she fully understands how hard it is to work on something and still not be satisfied, so every art-piece she creates is surely to be original and finished to perfection. She is also founder of the, art company, D' Vintage Code and also of the Instituto Genealogico A. C.
Artist Statement
I attempt to express my perceptions and experiences by exposing the processed product that is aesthetic to my point of view, while making connections with others through my ideas. My intentions are to accentuate the beauty in life by gathering diverse concepts and significant events from which we live daily. My artwork is an interpretation of a parallel universe in which the emotions overcome the reality of average circumstances.
The decisions I make during the process of my work are crucial, by brainstorming my ideas on any writable piece of paper available. Then, I envision the piece with colors in my mind. I make changes during the process until I accomplish my standards of simple and aesthetic concepts. The patterns that emerge in my artwork are versatile throughout the medias, colors, and techniques chosen to create an energetic, earthy, and bold statement.
I never follow a guide or try to make anything seem realistic; I rather share my point of view and emotions other than just the outer-shell of "objects". Although facts are the base components of reality, opinions and emotions are the summary of my feelings. My favorite tools are power tools in general; they make me feel empowered to make instant everlasting changes with accelerating excitement; while clay is one of my favorite materials due to its metamorphic attributes just like the diverse and simple techniques passed down through generations which I use to accomplish a unique statement.
When people view my artwork I like them to connect to my understanding, in the exchange of the conception they perceive towards my artwork.

La madre de Corazón, la Dra. Ivonne Govea, quien fuera estudiante del notable muralista Don David Alfaro Siqueiros , del escultor Don Octavio Ponzanelli, y amiga de muy destacados artistas de diversas partes del mundo, quienes visitaban su estudio y trabajaron en colaboración; le enseñaron muchas de las técnicas que hoy se conocen viéndoles trabajar y estando siempre al lado de su madre; y acompañándola a casi todas sus exposiciones, actos con los que ha estado envuelta en el arte y junto a la crema y nata de los artistas durante toda su vida, lo que le ha dado una gran seguridad, para realizar sus obras de arte, inspirada por la naturaleza, las culturas, su madre y su dos hijas; Ella piensa que el uso del "media" (materiales) son solo una herramienta para crear una obra maestra, utiliza la mas amplia variedad de técnicas y "media" (materiales) mixtos posibles, para crear sus maravillosas obras de arte, opina que la pasión y la creatividad, es todo lo que se necesita para crear una exquisita obra de arte; además de creer que cualquier forma de arte es un tesoro que solo necesita ser explorado y conocido. Dado que la Sra. Rodríguez, aprendió todas las técnicas de arte posibles aplicadas en el arte a lo largo de su desarrollo con la práctica, tiene el conocimiento y comprende muy bien lo difícil que es trabajar en una obra de arte, y aun así no sentirse satisfecha con esta. Percatándonos por lo tanto, que cada pieza de arte que ella crea, es sin lugar a dudas original y esta terminada a la perfección.

Propósito del Artista:
Intento expresar mis percepciones y experiencias exponiendo el producto procesado que es estético desde mi punto de vista, mientras que realizo conecciones con otros a través de mis ideas. Mi intención es acentuar la belleza en la vida reuniendo diversos conceptos y eventos significantes que vivimos a diario. Mis trabajos de arte son una interpretación de un universo paralelo en el cual las emociones superan la realidad de circunstancias comunes.
Las decisiones que realizo en el proceso de mi trabajo son cruciales, cuando las ideas surgen las plasmo sobre cualquier trozo de papel disponible; así como también imagino los colores y el medio a usar en mi mente, con diversas técnicas en cada ocasión. Por otra parte voy realizando cambios durante el proceso hasta completar los estándares estéticos de mis conceptos. Los patrones que emergen en mi trabajo son versátiles así como también los materiales, colores y técnicas que elijo para crear una dinámica, energética y audaz en cada obra de arte.
Nunca sigo una guía o trato de recrear realismo, mas bien, comparto mi punto de vista y emociones que van más allá de la cáscara exterior de los "objetos". Sin embargo, la realidad es que los factores que son la vase componente de opiniones y emisiones que componen el sumario de mis ideales y mis sentimientos se convierten en hechos que plasmo en mis obras.
Mis herramientas favoritas son las herramientas eléctricas en general, siento el poder para efectuar cambios duraderos e instantáneos, con aceleración excitante, mientras que la arcilla es uno de mis materiales favoritos debido a sus atributos metamórficos, así como la diversidad de técnicas sencillas transmitidas a través de generaciones que utilizo para realizar mi muy propio punto de vista.
